The Power of the AMD Radeon 5700 XT in 2021

The past few months and year have been a hard time to get PC Parts. Eventhough we’ve got some great releases, nobody has really been able to get their hands on them. Simply because there’s such a crazy amount of shortage when it comes to stock. GPUs, CPUs, and even new consoles are all understocked and seem to always be out of stock when you try and get one. With most PC Gamers still looking to upgrade and/or buy a new GPU for their builds, we decided to find a GPU that was available and capable of handling games in 2021. And that’s where the AMD Radeon 5700 XT comes in.

The 5700XT may have released in 2019 but don’t let that make you think for even a moment that it might be outdated. When it launched, it was advertised as a card that will run games at 1440p without any sweat. And 2 years later, this still holds true. No matter what game you’re playing, you won’t have to compromise visuals for a better framerate. Let’s look at some benchmarks to see how the 5700XT performs.

From the benchmarks, it’s pretty clear that this card is still very much an incredibly viable option. In terms of competition, Nvidia’s RTX 3060 is aimed at a similar level. However, the big problem with that GPU is availability.

The RTX 3000 series cards are almost impossible to find, that too at retail prices. With scalpers and crypto-miners buying everything, it’s hard for regular folk to get their hands on the cards at the moment. And sadly, it seems like the GPU shortage is going to last till at least the middle of 2022 which is when Silicon shortage is supposed to normalize.

And that’s why we feel the 5700XT is a great option for 1080p and 1440p gamers who are on a budget at the moment. You will find this GPU in stores as well as in the second-hand market since people who very lucky enough to get the new cards might be selling their trusty 5700XT to get some of that money back, allowing you to get this beast at a steal! So make sure to look around because you’re bound to find a great deal.
