WWE and MLSE Announce Massive Strategic Partnership; Monday Night Raw Returns to Toronto
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - NOVEMBER 1: during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Delta Center on November 1, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
TORONTO, ON – In a move that bridges the worlds of professional wrestling and major league sports, WWE and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) have officially announced a groundbreaking, long-term strategic partnership.
The deal unites two of the most influential entities in global sports entertainment, aiming to deepen WWE’s footprint in Canada while leveraging the massive reach of MLSE’s portfolio, which includes the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) and Toronto Raptors (NBA).
A New Era of Cross-Brand Collaboration
The partnership is designed to be multi-faceted, moving beyond simple event hosting. According to the announcement, fans can expect:
-
Exclusive Merchandise: Following the success of the WWE Legacy Title Belts for the Leafs and Raptors, new collaborative apparel and collectibles are in development.
-
Original Content: The two giants will collaborate on digital and broadcast content featuring athletes from both organizations.
-
Cross-Brand Appearances: WWE Superstars will become regular fixtures at MLSE games, while Toronto sports icons will make appearances at WWE events.
-
Community Impact: Joint community-focused programs aimed at youth engagement across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
“Collaborating with an iconic organization like MLSE is a natural extension of WWE’s deep and growing connection with Toronto,” said Alex Varga, Co-Head of Revenue at WWE. “This allows us to create new and authentic experiences for fans to reinforce our long-term commitment to the region.”
Monday Night Raw Heads to Scotiabank Arena
The first major activation of this partnership is the return of WWE Monday Night Raw to Scotiabank Arena on January 26, 2026.
This event will be particularly significant as it marks a new chapter for the flagship program, which will air live globally on Netflix. To celebrate the “WWE takeover” weekend, Superstars are scheduled to appear at the Toronto Maple Leafs games on January 25 and January 27.
