LG Electronics has announced “UltraGear Evo,” a new sub-brand of premium gaming monitors set to debut at CES 2026. The initial lineup consists of three flagship models focusing on 5K resolution and on-device AI enhancements.

AI-Driven Performance The standout feature of the new series is an on-device AI solution that enables 5K AI Upscaling. LG claims this allows users to achieve 5K-class visual clarity without the hardware strain of a GPU upgrade. The monitors also include AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound to adjust performance based on content.

The Model Lineup

  • 39-inch OLED (39GX950B): A curved (1500R) 5K2K display utilizing Tandem OLED technology for increased brightness and longevity. It features a “Dual Mode” capability, allowing users to switch between 165Hz at 5K2K and 330Hz at Full HD.

  • 27-inch Mini LED (27GM950B): Positioned as the first 5K Mini LED monitor designed to eliminate blooming. It uses 2,304 local dimming zones and “Zero Optical Distance” technology to sharpen contrast. It also supports Dual Mode (165Hz at 5K or 330Hz at QHD).

  • 52-inch Large Format (52G930B): A massive 5K2K display with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1000R curve. It offers a 21:9 aspect ratio, providing the vertical height of a 42-inch screen with 33% more horizontal width than standard UHD monitors.

Connectivity and Availability The monitors are equipped with DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20 support), HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery.

LG plans to showcase the UltraGear Evo line at CES 2026. While pricing has not yet been announced, the company confirmed that the separate 27-inch UltraGear GX7 (27GX790B) will go on sale globally starting the first day of the event.
