SoundHound AI Unveils Agentic Voice Commerce for Cars and TVs at CES 2026
SoundHound AI, Inc. has officially launched its next generation of Agentic voice commerce at CES 2026. They are bringing the Amelia 7 platform to vehicles and smart TVs, allowing users to complete complex transactions like ordering food and booking travel using only their voice.
AI Agents That Take Action
Moving beyond simple voice commands, SoundHound claims their new AI agents can reason and act on behalf of the user. Through the Amelia 7 platform, drivers and viewers can now:
-
Make Reservations: Integrated with OpenTable for seamless dining bookings.
-
Handle Logistics: Pay for parking via Parkopedia and book vehicle service appointments.
-
Order Food: Place take-out orders at thousands of restaurant locations across the U.S.
-
Plan Travel: Book flights and hotel rooms on the go.
-
Manage Productivity: Access emails and calendars to schedule meetings via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Vision AI: Giving Vehicles Sight
A major highlight of the announcement is the debut of Vision AI for automotive use. This technology combines the vehicle’s camera with SoundHound’s natural language understanding. It allows the car to “see” and interpret the world, enabling drivers to ask questions about landmarks, translate road signs in real time, or call numbers seen on billboards.
The Future of the Human Interface
SoundHound AI CEO Keyvan Mohajer believes this shift represents a new era for business. He predicts that voice-driven AI agents will eventually replace traditional websites and mobile apps as the primary way consumers interact with brands.
They are partnering with NVIDIA to run advanced large language models directly on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform.
