What is LG CLOiD?
LAS VEGAS – At CES 2026, under the theme “Innovation in Tune with You,” LG unveiled its vision for a Zero Labor Home, with their new humanoid-style robot and an ecosystem of proactive “Agent Appliances.”
LG CLOiD: The Heart of the AI Home
The standout reveal is LG CLOiD™, a home-specialized AI robot designed to physically assist with daily life. Unlike traditional smart assistants, CLOiD features two arms with five-fingered hands, allowing it to perform complex physical tasks such as:
-
Meal Preparation: Taking items from the fridge and placing them in ovens.
-
Chore Management: Folding laundry and organizing dishes.
-
Wellness Monitoring: Acting as an ambient care agent for seniors or busy families.

From “Affectionate” to “Action-Oriented” AI
LG CEO Lyu Jae-cheol introduced a strategic evolution of the company’s Affectionate Intelligence. This framework moves beyond simple voice commands into a Sense-Think-Act model.
Through the ThinQ ON hub, LG appliances now function as “Agent Appliances.” For example, an LG SIGNATURE refrigerator can now understand conversational language to suggest food storage tips, while the AI WashTower automatically adjusts cycles based on fabric weight and humidity.

Key Innovations at the LG Booth:
-
LG OLED evo W6 “Wallpaper TV”: An ultra-slim, 9mm-class display featuring Hyper Radiant Color Technology.
-
AI-Defined Mobility: In-vehicle systems that use gaze-tracking to switch to autonomous mode and transparent OLED windshields for real-time traffic data.
-
LG Actuator AXIUM™: A new brand of robotic joints (motors and drives) that LG plans to supply to the broader robotics market.
LG’s Vision Behind this
LG is betting that the future is AI. By integrating AI into HVAC systems for data centers, smart vehicles, and the “Zero Labor Home,” LG is giving customers back their most valuable resource: time.
