Lepro Unveils AI-Driven Smart Home Lighting at CES

At CES, Lepro introduced a new suite of smart home products centered around LightGPM, a proprietary large language model designed specifically for lighting. The company is moving toward a hands-free ecosystem by integrating AI microphones directly into its hardware, reducing the reliance on third-party smart speakers or mobile applications.

The AI Lighting Pro Series

The centerpiece of the exhibit was the Pro Series, a lineup of lamps and strip lights that use generative AI to interpret user intent rather than just following binary commands.

TB1 Pro AI Table Lamp

The TB1 Pro features a modular, sculptural design inspired by planetary orbits.

  • Adjustable Hardware: The lamp consists of three interlocking rings that can be independently rotated to change the physical aesthetic of the device.

  • Contextual Intelligence: Using voice prompts, the AI analyzes the user’s intent to adjust color blending and brightness without the need for app presets.

OE1 Pro AI Floor Lamp

Designed for both utility and ambiance, the OE1 Pro is a high-output standing lamp.

  • Brightness Specifications: The unit produces up to 2,300 lumens, which is sufficient for lighting large rooms or tasks like reading.

  • Color Range: It supports a color temperature range of 2700K to 5700K for white light, alongside 16 million RGB colors.

N1 and S1 Pro Strip Lighting

Lepro also showcased flexible lighting solutions, including the N1 Pro Neon Rope and S1 Pro Smart Strip.

  • Segmented Control: Both products utilize RGBIC technology, allowing different segments of the same strip to display unique colors simultaneously.

  • Facial Recognition: The N1 Pro includes a feature where users can upload a selfie to the app; the AI analyzes facial expressions to generate a matching lighting scheme.

Core Technologies: LightGPM and LightBeats

The functionality of the new hardware rests on two primary software engines:

  1. LightGPM: This model is trained in color psychology and lighting theory. Instead of selecting from a list of presets, the system generates lighting effects in real-time based on trillions of potential combinations.

  2. LightBeats: A synchronization engine that interprets audio dynamics—including rhythm, tempo, and frequency—to produce responsive visual patterns.

Connectivity and Integration

While the Pro Series features built-in AI microphones for standalone voice control, the devices remain compatible with broader smart home ecosystems.

  • Third-Party Support: All units integrate with Alexa and Google Home for standard voice control.

  • Hardware Specs: Connectivity is handled via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the LEDs are rated for a 15,000-hour lifespan.

Lepro’s shift toward light-generative models indicates an industry trend where smart devices are expected to understand natural language and human context without manual app intervention.
