ASUS recognized for their Sustainability efforts
ASUS has been recognized by Corporate Knights as one of the “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations” during the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF). The inclusion marks a significant milestone for the company, which stood as the only Taiwanese representative in the “Computers and Peripheral Equipment” category.
The ranking, which evaluates over 8,000 billion-dollar companies worldwide, utilizes a rigorous methodology that factors in sustainable revenue, investment momentum, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. ASUS’s placement follows a year of expanded climate initiatives and a strategic focus on circular economy principles.

Strategic Climate Governance
Central to the company’s sustainability strategy is its goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050. To support this, ASUS has deployed an AI-assisted carbon management platform designed to optimize reduction efforts across its global supply chain. Recent performance indicators highlight the progress of these initiatives:
-
Renewable Energy: 56% of global operations are now powered by renewable sources.
-
Supplier Impact: Carbon emission intensity among key suppliers has decreased by 28% relative to the base year.
-
CDP Ratings: The company earned a Double ‘A’ rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its management of climate change and water security.
Product Sustainability and Innovation
ASUS reported that 89% of its revenue is now derived from eco-friendly products. This shift toward sustainable design was highlighted at CES 2026 with the debut of the ExpertBook Ultra.
The flagship business laptop is constructed using up to 90% recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy and 100% recycled rare-earth magnets. It is also one of the first devices to integrate the ASUS Digital Product Passport (DPP), providing lifecycle transparency across 16 EU-standard environmental indicators.
Governance and Transparency
Beyond product design, ASUS has received recurring recognition for its reporting standards. The company recently secured its fifth win at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA), receiving a Platinum Award for its Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Report.
Looking ahead, ASUS plans to launch its next five-year action plan, focusing on further integrating digital empowerment into its ESG goals to maintain its leadership in industrial sustainability.
