LG Unveils Art-Inspired ‘Gallery TV’

LG Electronics has announced the “LG Gallery TV,” a new addition to its lifestyle screen portfolio designed to compete in the growing “decor-first” television market. The display is built to function as a digital art canvas when not in use, supported by an expanded library of over 4,500 curated works.

Art-Centric Engineering Unlike standard displays, the Gallery TV features a specialized low-reflection screen developed in collaboration with museum curators. This panel is designed to suppress glare and mimic the visual texture of physical masterpieces. A dedicated “Gallery Mode” automatically adjusts color accuracy and brightness based on the room’s ambient light, ensuring that digital art looks like pigment on canvas rather than a backlit screen.

Hardware and Design The TV will be available in 55-inch and 65-inch models and features a slim, flush-mount design that sits tight against the wall. To help it blend into home interiors, LG includes customizable magnetic frames that can be swapped to match different decor styles. Under the hood, the device is powered by:

  • MiniLED Technology: Providing 4K resolution with enhanced contrast.

  • α7 (Alpha 7) AI Processor: Handling high-end picture and sound processing.

  • AI Sound Pro: Delivering virtual 9.1.2-channel audio.

  • Internal Storage: Ample memory is included to allow users to store and curate their favorite artworks locally.

The LG Gallery+ Ecosystem Central to the device is the LG Gallery+ service, an interior platform that offers a monthly-refreshed library of fine art, cinematic landscapes, and animations. Users can further personalize the display by using Generative AI to create custom images or by uploading personal photos. The service also supports background music, either via built-in tracks or Bluetooth streaming.

The LG Gallery TV will be showcased alongside LG’s full “Art TV” lineup at CES 2026. While the “light” version of the Gallery+ service is free, the full library will require a monthly subscription via webOS Pay.
