Play Elden Ring with your Mind! – LumiMind’s Lumi Sleep

Neurotechnology firm LumiMind introduced its first consumer product,, and demonstrated a non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) during CES 2026. The company also received the SPEED Award, an industry honor for technological advancement in neurotechnology and consumer health.
Real-Time EEG Sleep Modulation
LumiSleep is a wearable device designed to facilitate the transition to sleep using millisecond-level electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring. Unlike standard wearables that track sleep via heart rate or motion (actigraphy), this device monitors neural signals to identify what the company calls the Sleep Onset Pattern™.
The system operates on a closed-loop mechanism:
-
Detection: The device monitors brain activity in real time.
-
Identification: AI-driven decoding identifies the specific neural patterns associated with falling asleep.
-
Response: The device delivers personalized acoustic guidance to support the brain’s natural transition into a sleep state.
According to LumiMind, the product avoids the use of medication or external stimulation, focusing instead on acoustic modulation. The official launch is scheduled for March 31, 2026.

BCI Capability Demonstration: Elden Ring
To showcase the responsiveness of its neural decoding foundation, LumiMind conducted a live demonstration involving the video game Elden Ring. The demo featured a player controlling gameplay actions entirely through non-invasive neural signals.
This presentation served as a proof-of-concept for the company’s Neural Signal Foundation Model. Developed in collaboration with the INSIDE Institute for NeuroAI—which includes researchers from Harvard and the Max Planck Society—the model is intended to translate complex brain signals into actionable data with minimal latency.

Industry Recognition and Market Outlook
The SPEED Award presented at the event recognized the integration of laboratory-grade EEG technology into a consumer-facing format. While current sleep technology is largely diagnostic or reactive, LumiMind’s entry into the market represents a shift toward active neural guidance.
Fang Zhao, CEO of LumiMind, stated that the company’s objective is to move neurotechnology beyond research environments. The firm plans to eventually apply its neural decoding technology to other areas of cognitive health, including focus and emotional regulation.
