ASUS has announced that its Zenbook DUO dual-screen laptop has been honored with an iF Gold Award at the 2026 iF Design Awards. The laptop was one of only 75 entries to receive the gold distinction from a pool of over 10,000 submissions across 68 countries.

In addition to the top honor for the Zenbook DUO, ASUS and its Republic of Gamers (ROG) sub-brand collectively secured 27 awards during this year’s competition. The awards recognize a broad spectrum of products, including consumer electronics, gaming hardware, and professional creative tools.

The Zenbook DUO iF Gold Win

The iF Design Award jury highlighted the Zenbook DUO (model UX8407) for its integration of dual screens and overall build quality. In their statement, the jury noted that the device “is raising the stakes for flexible computing,” specifically praising the tactile finishes and the versatility the form factor offers for both professional work and creative tasks.

The 2026 model features several hardware refinements over previous iterations, including:

  • Dual 14-inch 3K Lumina Pro OLED Displays: These touchscreens feature a 144Hz refresh rate and 1000-nit peak brightness.

  • Reduced Screen Gap: A redesigned hideaway hinge has reduced the visible gap between the two screens by 70% compared to previous generations.

  • Performance Specifications: The device is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor with a 50 TOPS Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI-driven tasks.

  • Portability: Despite featuring a 99 watt-hour battery, the laptop’s chassis is 5% smaller than the prior model, weighing approximately 2.87 lbs.

Broader Recognition for ASUS and ROG

Beyond the flagship Zenbook DUO win, 26 other products from the company’s 2026 lineup were recognized for design excellence. Notable winners include the Zenbook A16, the ProArt PZ14 for creators, and the ROG XG Station 3 (Thunderbolt 5) for gamers.

The iF Design Award, established in 1954, is considered one of the most prestigious design competitions globally. Entries are evaluated by an international jury of experts across various disciplines, including product design, user interface (UI), and packaging.

This year’s results continue a trend of recognition for the company’s “In Search of Incredible” design philosophy, which focuses on blending performance with functional aesthetics. In 2025, ASUS received 22 iF Design Awards, making the 27 wins in 2026 an increase in the company’s year-over-year performance at the event.

ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu stated that the recognition validates the company’s efforts to create technology that empowers users through “meaningful innovation and functionality.”

The award-winning products are expected to be showcased at the iF Design Award Night gala in Berlin on April 27, 2026.
