Asus launches Creator focused ProArt PZ14 in Canada

ASUS has expanded its creator-focused lineup with the announcement of the ProArt PZ14 (Model HT7407). The 14-inch detachable tablet is engineered for creative professionals requiring high-performance computing, AI acceleration, and color-accurate visuals within a highly portable and ruggedized form factor.

The ProArt PZ14 is currently available for pre-order on the ASUS Store at an MSRP of C$3,399, with shipping scheduled to begin on May 19, 2026. Availability at Best Buy is expected to follow shortly.

Performance and AI Capabilities

The core architecture of the ProArt PZ14 centers on the 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. This chip features a single-core boost frequency of up to 4.7GHz, a memory bandwidth of 152GB/s, and an integrated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of up to 80 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second) for AI processing. This high-capacity NPU allows the tablet to run concurrent, on-device AI tasks locally without reliance on cloud computing.

  • Graphics & Memory: The system is equipped with Qualcomm Adreno graphics, 32GB of LPDDR5X onboard memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (M.2 2230 form factor) to manage large media libraries and high-resolution timelines.

  • Thermal Management: Power is sustained by a 75Wh battery. To maintain low noise levels during heavy workloads, ASUS has integrated 0dB cooling technology, allowing the device to operate silently during low-intensity tasks.

3K Lumina Pro OLED Display

Designed for color-critical workflows, the ProArt PZ14 features a 14-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreen with a 3K (2800 x 1800) resolution.

Design, Durability, and Connectivity

The tablet is housed in a CNC-machined aluminum unibody chassis finished in Nano Black. The surface includes a “Smudge-Free” coating to prevent fingerprint oil accumulation.

Despite its hardware profile, the tablet weighs 0.79 kg (1.74 lbs) and measures 9mm (0.35 inches) thick. For field and on-site production, the chassis is certified to meet MIL-STD-810H military durability standards and holds an IP52 rating for resistance against dust and water ingress.

I/O and Peripheral Support

  • Ports: The device includes two 40Gbps USB4 Type-C ports (supporting external displays and Power Delivery) and an SD Express 7.0 card reader.

  • Networking: Wireless connectivity is driven by triple-band WiFi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 5.4.

  • Cameras: A front-facing 8MP IR camera supports Windows Hello biometric login, while a 13MP Ultra HD (4K) rear camera handles on-set asset capture.

Modular Accessories and On-Device AI Tools

The ProArt PZ14 functions across tablet, laptop, and portrait modes via its included modular accessories. It ships with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard featuring a 1.7mm key travel and a glass-fiber build, alongside a magnetic stand cover. The cover includes housing for the optional ASUS Pen 3.0, which features 4096 pressure levels, tilt recognition, and haptic feedback to mimic pen-on-paper textures.

As a Copilot+ PC, the tablet integrates Windows 11 Home AI functionality alongside three proprietary ASUS applications designed to run locally on the NPU:

  • StoryCube: An asset management program that uses AI to automatically categorize, tag, and sort local and cloud-based media files (including direct integration with GoPro Cloud).

  • MuseTree: A local text-to-image generative tool that allows for rapid concept sketching and ideation without requiring an active internet connection.

  • ProArt Creator Hub: A unified dashboard for system monitoring, color calibration, and control personalization.

Promotional Bundles

Retail packages of the HT7407NA-BS91T-CB model include a 3-month membership to Adobe Creative Cloud (All Apps, Individual) and a 6-month GoPro Premium+ subscription.
