ASUS Opens Canadian Pre-Orders for Next-Gen Zenbook S16 and Zenbook 14

TORONTO – ASUS has announced that its latest laptop models, the Zenbook S16 (UM5606GA) and Zenbook 14 (UM3406GA), are now available for pre-order in the Canadian market. These devices, which debuted earlier this month at CES 2026, are part of the new “Copilot+” category of PCs designed to handle AI tasks locally using dedicated hardware.

Both models utilize the AMD Ryzen™ AI 400 Series processors. The integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is rated at 50 TOPS, meeting the current industry benchmark for on-device AI acceleration in Windows 11 environments.

Technical Specifications and Design

The Zenbook S16 serves as the larger, premium entry in the lineup. It features a 16-inch 3K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. To manage the heat generated by the AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor in an 1.1 cm-thin chassis, ASUS has implemented a vapor chamber cooling system that aims to keep noise levels below 25 dB during standard operation. The exterior uses “Ceraluminum,” a proprietary material intended to improve durability while maintaining a weight of 1.5 kg.

The Zenbook 14 is a more compact alternative, weighing 1.2 kg and measuring 14.9 mm in thickness. While it uses the same Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, it features a 14-inch WUXGA OLED display and a slightly smaller 75Wh battery compared to the 83Wh unit found in the S16.

Both laptops include security features such as Windows Hello infrared cameras, Microsoft Pluton security processors, and physical privacy shields for the webcams. Connectivity options across both models include USB4, HDMI 2.1, and high-speed Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 7 on the S16 and Wi-Fi 6E on the 14).

Availability

According to the company, pre-orders placed through the ASUS Store starting today are scheduled to begin shipping on February 3, 2026.
